"Just Passing 6"
That is my title for this piece. My husband inspired me to uncap my tubes of paint and create something... this is what came out.

Illustration Friday : Extremes (Part One)
My interpretation of the two extremes of activities one can do with water. The first one is swimming (pictured above), an activity done in water's liquid state and the other illustration I'm working on is going to be either snow skiing or ice skating, activities done in water's frozen state.
It has been since June that I've participated in I-Fri, and it is fun to be back and see what everyone has been doing!

Creative Postcard Club R42 : Found Letters
This was one of my favorite CPC projects, as it encouraged me to look at everyday surroundings in different ways. It encouraged an adventure, an adventure where I spent an afternoon observing type and documenting it. This outing produced dozens of photos of signage. Signs on buildings, inside stores, embedded in the concrete under my feet. Numbers and letters everywhere. These are my favorite 6 photos, assembled as a postcard collage.

"Daring" in Print
The mail man delivered a copy of Rambler Magazine to my door last week, with one of my paintings featured in it! Hooray! It does not even accompany an article - it has its very own page. This was a very exciting mail day.
After neglecting my studio for a month, I'm ready to start painting again. Hopefully my posts will be more often as I share my art journey with you.

Illustration Friday: My Paradise
Camping with owl
A quickie illustration. Paradise means a lot of things to me- relaxing in bed with my husband and dog, going to a wine and cheese tasting, sipping tea in a cafe on a crowded city street, floating along on a boat on a sunny day, lying underneath a huge weeping willow tree... and sitting in my tent during a campout listening to a nearby owl. In this case, I invited my owl friend to join me for a story.
